Think you’ve seen Florence from every possible angle? Few visitors and residents ever get the chance to climb Porta Romana, the southernmost gate in the medieval walls of Florence. Climbers will meet in the nearby via Gusciana, which once housed stonemason workshops and the stables of local carriage drivers (study up on more of the area’s history in this LdM News video). Groups will depart every 30 minutes from 5pm–8pm. Reservations are required via info@muse.comune.fi.it or by calling 055.2768224 or 055.2768558.
