Filmed last year in Florence, Venice and Istanbul, the blockbuster film, starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones, is the latest in the Robert Langdon series written by Dan Brown.

At least 1,000 Hollywood guests are expected to arrive at Peretola by private jet having booked rooms at the city’s leading hotels. On October 6, the world premiere will take place in the Salone dei Cinquecento in front of the world’s press. The following day, the cast is expected to gather at Forte Belvedere for a photo call with Florence as the backdrop before a launch party in the same location, popular with celebrities since the wedding of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in May 2014. On October 8, the film will be screened at the Teatro dell’Opera, welcoming up to 2,000 guests, followed by a gala dinner.

Spokespeople at the Palazzo Vecchio commented, “This is a huge opportunity for Florence. Even if we had millions to spend on an advertising campaign, nothing could have the same appeal as this.”
