If you’re in Florence for Thanksgiving this November 24, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on your turkey fix. The Tuscan capital is a cosmopolitan city with an active international community, a vibrant food scene and the finest local ingredients in the world, so it might actually turn out to be the best Thanksgiving ever.
Here are our suggestions on where to eat, drink and be merry in Florence.
The Diner
Florence’s first diner, established in 2004, The Diner (via dell’Acqua 2, near the Bargello) serves up a feast for the founding fathers and Florentines alike this Thanksgiving. Popular among friends and international families, dig into roast turkey with stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cornbread and buttermilk biscuits, followed by apple pie and pumpkin pie. Wine and water included.
