On the occasion of Chianti Classico Collection, the annual wine preview held in Florence for wine professionals and journalists, the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium showcased the Chianti Tellers exhibition on February 13, 2017.

The photographs by Dario Garofalo convey the pride associated with the Gallo Nero (“black rooster”) label and land through the faces of the people who live and work in the Chianti Classico winemaking region. From oenologists to butchers, artists to journalists, Garofalo’s images are striking and evocative, just like the wine exported and loved all over the world.

Through the exhibition, the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico, with funding from local bank ChiantiBanca, aims to put a face to the tireless work behind the production of wine in the region.

President of the consortium Sergio Zingarelli commented, “Our wine would not be the same without Chianti and its people, and they, in turn, would have grown up differently without the Gallo Nero”.

The Chianti Tellers exhibition will go on show at the Casa Chianti Classico in Radda in Chianti from April 2017 onwards. For more information, see casachianticlassico.it.
