Known the world over for its coveted truffles, the Tuscan town of San Miniato will host a Black Night event throughout its historic center on June 10—celebrating local history and all things gourmet, but in particular the seasonal black truffle. The festivities will begin at 7pm and continue until the late hours.

In addition to product tastings, elaborate lights and artistic projections on facades, music and children’s entertainment, this year will include an appearance by special guest Simone Rugiati, chef and popular television personality, well-known for his current work on “Cuochi e Fiamme” (La7).

Civic museums Palazzo Comunale, Oratorio del Loretino and the Tower of Federico II (Rocca) will have special nighttime hours for the occasion, opening from 9pm to 11pm.

The full program is being defined; follow the website for updates.
