After WWII came the emergence of “Made in Italy”. Giovanni Battista Giorgini organized the first internationally recognized Italian fashion runway show in Florence, opening the floodgates to what would change the world forever. The new heavyweight of fashion was born.

Often taking a back seat to major fashion capitals, Florence fashion has been said to have fallen into the shadows. What’s been overlooked are qualities of sophistication, grace, and effortlessness that serve as the foundation for Florentine street style. Where these capitals—Paris, London, New York—pride themselves on being driven by young, forward thinkers, Florence identifies its style by the command of the “veterans” serving as the core.

Italian fashion started in Florence and has upheld its desire to stay connected to its roots.

Trends come and go, but timeless pieces are always in style.

We could all learn a thing or two about the Florentine ways from these gentlemen.
