Florence’s former courthouse recently hosted a first look at the new life in store for the structure: on July 25, local, national and international press, Florentine city officials and special guests gathered for a preview of the International Centre for the Performing Arts of the nonprofit Fondazione Franco Zeffirelli. A museum, educational hub, archive and library containing a career’s worth of work by its namesake film director, the space will open to the public on September 1. Read more
