Acrobatic construction experts check the plaster and stonework inside Brunelleschi’s Dome, specially the tambour, at Florence Cathedral. Staff of the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore are assisting the monitoring, which will last for approximately a month, using a crane with a 50-metre-long arm to check the Duomo’s side chapels and naves.

The work is part of normal checks on the interior and exterior of the Cathedral.
