Combining food, wine, theatre and Renaissance tradition, this is an unforgettable step back in time, recreating the favourite pastime of the Medici family during an evening of Renaissance drama and fine dining with Florence Live Theatre.

Available on Mondays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9.30pm, have your food served by waiters in Renaissance dress, pouring you the finest Tuscan wine and presenting you with exquisite food in the grand setting of villa Le Piazzole. With its magnificent garden, chapel and frescoes, it's the perfect backdrop to what will unfold.

PLAY: Written by the great Italian Renaissance philosopher, Niccolò Machiavelli, The Mandrake is sure to delight audiences with its frolicsome tale of Callimaco and his infatuation with Lucrezia, the beautiful wife of the wealthy fool, Nicia. Pretending to be a doctor, he devises a potion that will cause Lucrezia to conceive, but the catch is that the first man to be with her will meet a grim end. With deception, confusion and hilarity ensured, this highly satirical play from 1524 is not to be missed.
