Martin Luther King is winking for a reason. He’s the first of seven superhumans by street artist Lediesis to appear on Florence’s walls as part of the #ilmomentoèadesso (the time is now) solidarity campaign from Fondazione Il Cuore, in partnership with supermarket chain Unicoop Firenze.

The first 20 people to photograph the figures, tagging them with #ilmomentoèadesso on Instagram and Facebook will be entitled to a digital copy of the artwork and a limited-edition postcard. (You can find Martin Luther King in via de’ Cerretani.)

Founded in 2010, the non-profit Fondazione Il Cuore, in collaboration with Unicoop Firenze and with the media partnership of The Florentine, places solidarity at the centre of their campaign to assist those in difficulty. The project is detailed at www.ilcuoresiscioglie.it
