The Common Man statue has been reinstalled on Ponte alle Grazie by French artist Jean Marie Clet Abraham.

This is the fourth time the metal sculpture has been placed on the central Florentine bridge. Previous installations have resulted in fines and charges for violating the cityscape.

On this occasion, the via San Niccolò-based artist decided to return the sculpture to the bridge as a sign of hope, energy and courage.

In an interview with online newspaper Firenze Today, Clet explains, “The man is taking a step into nothingness, but he’s confident and knows that he can do it. We all need to think like that.”
