Varinia (Vary) and her husband Edoardo Cecotto are no amateurs in the food industry. Vary has two master’s degrees in culinary arts and Edoardo has managed multiple events and cooking classes, both in Italy and the United States. With their mutual knowledge of Italian cuisine and hospitality, this dynamic duo opened Tuscan Taste Florence (via Romana 41R / +39 055 2525873), an artisanal tasting and specialty store in the heart of the Oltrarno. With a focus on sustainability and supporting other small businesses, you can find a variety of gourmet cheeses, cured meats and craft beers. With their delightful foliage patio and cozy indoor seating, foodies enjoy a locally sourced charcuterie board paired with a glass of wine just steps away from the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti.

Edoardo’s infectious personality and passion will captivate you as soon as you enter the storefront. Witness chef Vary’s enthusiasm in the kitchen by booking a customizable small cooking class to create amazing dishes and unforgettable memories, especially for those with dietary restrictions. Classes are offered in-person and virtually straight from this hidden gem in the Oltrarno.
