The heat is on at Florence’s Fortezza da Basso as the world’s change makers gather to decide the future of fashion during Pitti Uomo 102.
Perhaps it’s because we have all gone back to being on the go, but the 35-plus degree heat has emptied the “pitti piazza” where the trade fair hype is usually felt. Not that the characters are missing in action; they have simply shifted into the shade of the pavilions.
The mood of the collections at Pitti Uomo is undoubtedly positive with brands focusing on the joy of a return to normality through eclectic, all-day and colourful fashion produced from natural fabrics that are suitable for both the street and relaxed formalwear. Accepting diversity and being ready with style are the pillars of Pitti Uomo 102.
