The furniture design company Kartell has opened a new flagship store in the centre of Florence. Located at via dei Pescioni 11, the new shop is a short distance from piazza del Duomo. Boasting approximately 300 square metres, the showrooms are set in a historic palazzo, marked with columns, vaulted ceilings and large windows that let in natural light.

The flagship store showcases iconic Kartell designs alongside newer looks, with everything being united by the company’s constant focus on new technologies and materials, and its desire to innovate. The aim is to introduce the Italian brand to the vast international community found in the city.

Included in the store are products related to sustainability, with items made from recycled material such as the Re-Chair, which is made with recycled coffee capsules. The spacious halls also display the entire range of Philippe Starck’s Smart Wood Collection as well as the French designer’s collection of A.I.-created stools, which are considered to contribute to sustainability by cutting down on the production process.

“For Kartell, the store is dedicated to communicating our philosophy alongside our products, illustrating our interpretation of housing needs to consumers around the world, while also conveying identity and brand values,” commented Lorenza Luti, marketing and retail director, at the press preview.
