As always, Florence is catering to the international community here with plenty of options for celebrating Thanksgiving on November 24. Below are some of the best places in the city to get your Turkey Day treats.

Thanksgiving with The Florentine

Join The Florentine at Ruffino’s Poggio Casciano wine estate to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Tuscan hills, just 30 minutes from Florence. The dinner will begin at 7.30pm with music from Lucille DJ and Partners in Crime. Book your place at the table for 40 euro per person (wine not included) and enjoy a menu of:

Prune bonbon wrapped in pork cheek bacon and pumpkin ketchup

Cacio and pepe pasta served with Maremma blue cheese

Traditional turkey stuffed with Mugello chestnut and sausage stuffing, served with pomegranate jelly and cabbage

Tiramisù

Ristorante Accademia

The annual Thanksgiving dinner is taking place at Ristorante Accademia (piazza San Marco 7R) on November 24 and 25. With the promise of pumpkin soup, turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes, alongside options of apple strudel, pumpkin pie or pecan pie for dessert, reserve your place early by calling +39 055 217343. 40 euro per person.

Melaleuca

This year, Melaleuca (lungarno delle Grazie, 18) is offering a traditional from-scratch turkey dinner made using local produce. There are options eat in from 5pm on the day (reservations required) or you can choose to take your meal home, wrapped in eco-friendly packaging. Pick up is available 10am-7pm on the 24th and 25th. There are also options available upon request for children, vegetarians and vegans, and also gluten-free options. Dine in and takeaway cost 45 euro per person or 16 euro for children aged 4-10. Orders need to be in by Saturday, November 19. House-made pies also available.

The Place

The Place Thanksgiving

The Place (piazza Santa Maria Novella 7) is offering an Italian-inspired Thanksgiving dinner, with the menu including casentino polenta fritters with artichoke cream and crispy Tuscan bacon, pumpkin cream soup with Mugello goat’s cheese and chestnut chips, and apple and pumpkin cake with prune gelato, alongside the traditional turkey course. 90 euro.

La Loggia

The Presidents of the Tuscan American Association are hosting a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on November 24 at 7:30pm. The dinner will be held at La Loggia in Piazzale Michelangelo with a cost of 60 euro per person. If you would like to attend, email davis@texnet.it or info@studiomancianti.it by November 21.

Pint of View

Join Pint of View (borgo Tegolaio 17R) at 6pm on the 24th for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. Reservations recommended.

Harry’s Bar

Harry’s Bar The Garden at Sina Villa Medici, Autograph Collection (via Il Prato 42) is offering a Thanksgiving menu on the 24th that includes creamy pumpkin soup, roast stuffed turkey and citrus cheesecake for 55 euro per person.

Hard Rock Cafe

Celebrate Thanksgiving at Hard Rock Cafe Florence (via dei Brunelleschi 1) with an offering of slow-roasted turkey breast with all the trimmings and a slice of classic pumpkin pie. Available from 12 noon to 10pm, the Thanksgiving meal costs 26.40 euro per person, with a deal for two available when booked online for 37.90 euro. Children under 10 years old eat for 10.95 euro.

The Dolce Vita Experience

Create your own dream Thanksgiving meal by picking between a traditional roasted turkey and one with herb butter, and then whatever sides you fancy from a selection that includes chive mashed potatoes and gravy, sausage cornbread stuffing, and creamy green beans and mushrooms, with pies, of course, to follow. Orders must be placed by November 18, with pick up in the Sant’Ambrogio area on Thanksgiving.
