Fortezza da Basso has thawed out just in time for another edition of Pitti Uomo, the world-renowned men’s attire fair that nods to Florence’s history as the former Italian fashion capital.

The chilly weather has costed no expense as thousands have ventured from far and wide, all impeccably dressed for the occasion. Like a recreation of Alice in Wonderland, the grounds are covered with characters ranging from classic dandies, eye-catching peacocks, contemporary street style buffs, and everything in between. International guests with international tastes promise for a true variety of looks and inspirations. Elephant umbrellas, monochrome beret business attire, and even a cat atop a shoulder are only a few of the extravagant eyesores seen throughout.

Creativity and expression are at their peak here. Pitti Uomo celebrates men’s fashion and its many forms, staging the bravest of dressers, while championing barrier-breaking outfits and thoughtful creation processes.
