The festival will repeat last year’s winning formula of 15 artists painting the shutters of 15 local businesses. A walk down via Palazzuolo this month provides an opportunity to chat with the creatives as they adorn the street fronts with a breath of fresh air.

The festival is also a chance for the much maligned street to clean up its reputation. “Since we opened the gallery, we wanted to act as a bridge between art and the public space, encouraging a continuous exchange of reflections and mingling of different cultures and expressions,” explains Sofia Bonacchi of Street Levels Gallery.

Street Levels Gallery is seizing the moment to open a second exhibition space at nearby via Melegrano 4R, hosting an urban art group show across the new and the old premises at via Palazzuolo 74AR.
