The 109 members of Palazzo Tornabuoni, their family and friends recently gathered in the sumptuous surroundings of the private residence club to celebrate 15 years of fine Florentine living.
Established in 2009 by the Fratini family, the impeccably restored palazzo, once the home of popes and princes, continues its mission as a vibrant cultural centre.
Celebrating 15 years of Palazzo Tornabuoni
Flying in from around the world especially for the occasion, the Members enjoyed a week of high-calibre events arranged by Club President Gabrielle Maria Taylor. An in-house exhibition of artistic photography by Florentine legend Massimo Listri, a private guided visit to the Accademia to marvel at Michelangelo’s David behind closed doors, an exclusive preview of the Helen Frankenthaler show at Palazzo Strozzi, a unique wine tasting dinner led by Allegra Antinori at Palazzo Antinori, a private viewing of the antiques biennale at Palazzo Corsini and a celebration of artists and artisans hosted by Laudomia Pucci at Palazzo Pucci were just some of the select events to mark the 15th anniversary of Palazzo Tornabuoni.
A concert featuring Maestro Andrea Bocelli, renowned flautist Andrea Griminelli and soprano Serena Gamberoni was the highlight of the anniversary gala as sumptuous notes were accentuated by the opulence of the Sala delle Muse, the birthplace of opera within the jewel box of Palazzo Tornabuoni. Michelin-starred chef Vito Mollica catered the occasion to perfection with a half time show by Florentine flag bearers, while fundraising for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation’s charitable activities in Italy and overseas.
