It’s time to get ghoulish with no shortage of spooky shenanigans in the city, with a monstrous series of workshops, nights out and themed dining experiences, for a suitably horrifying Halloween in Florence.
4 themed evenings at Tijuana

Tijuana in via il Prato 57/59r host an unforgettable four evenings to mark the scary season, with themed evenings from October 31 to November 3 providing fun for all the family. Come in your costumes for surprises and games, with suitably spooky playlists and a delicious and mysterious Black Margarita served for the occasion. Make-up artists are even on hand if you fancy a quick ghoulish makeover!
Spooky beats & wicked treats

Halloween at Hard Rock Cafe Florence is going to be one to remember, with a Millennials themed costume party from 8pm on October 31. Grab a plate at the buffet dinner if you dare, passing by the make up corner by Nicla to get a horrifying new look. Music by The Myllenyals from 10pm keeps the party going. Dinner for adults costs 40 euro, and includes the buffet, soft drinks, and 2 drink cards. Buffet dinner and drinks for children costs 25 euro.
Monstrous meals at Tennis Sport Bar

Spooky kids’ activities

Creative People in Florence (via dei Serragli 58r) hold a monster-mask making workshop led by Kirstie Mathieson from 5-6.30pm on October 30 for little ones (aimed at ages 3-11), putting together skeletons, spooky spiders and great ghosts using lots of recycled materials. The Children’s Lending Library, which is situated under St. James Episcopal Church on via Rucellai, hold their annual Halloween Party from 4-6pm on October 26. Enjoy face painting, a costume runway, haunted house, tricks and treats and much more.
Jackie’s Bakery put together Halloween cookie kits for some ghostly fun, with various options for the little horror-lovers in your life. There are even cupcakes, with pumpkin, mummy and spider varities, as well as a kids halloween cookie class for some hands-on creativity.
Halloween at the cinema: At 5pm on October 27, a film screening for little ones aged 5 and over is bound to give goosebumps. The special event at Cinema La Compagnia screens short films from France, Spain and Belgium. 5-euro entry, 4 euro reduced, or 6 euro for film+snack.

Halloween from Havana is an evening with Arachel Dolphie and the Daisy’s Cuban Band that takes you through Afro Latino traditions. On October 31, let the superb vocals bring you into another world.
Fondazione Mascarade Opera host ‘A Devilish Pact: A Studio Version of Gounod’s Faust’ at Palazzo Corsini al Prato. Held from 7pm on October 31, your ticket also gives you access to the picturesque gardens with a glass of good wine for an atmospheric start to the show.

25hours Hotel piazza San Paolino make your forget about the usual tricks and treats, with a Bite the Night party in partnership with Tequila Patron at the Companion Dolceamaro Bar. Taking place from 9pm to 2am on October 31, special guest mixologist Simone Pifferi, also Brand Ambassador of Bacardi and Martini, will craft signature tequila patron cocktails with a spooky twist while DJ Leonardo Martera sets the vibe with a live set all night long. Expect surprises and free rounds of tequila shots, with entry costing 25 euro.


Il gusto di Xinge hosts an Angels and Demons themed Halloween party on October 31, in collaboration with Atelier Mazzanti Piume. Be suspended between heaven and hell with DJ Lucille and a special Halloween-themed tasting menu. Dress code: angel or demon.
Frightfully fall experiences

Visit the L’Orto delle Zucche pumpkin patch on October 26 to hear tales of the storytelling witch and the legend of the jack o’lantern, take part in a coven feast, and have a go at carving your own pumpkin!
For more family-friendly fun, venture out to Il Regno delle Zucche on the grounds of Villa Montalvo near Campi Bisenzio. Marvel at the pumpkin sculptures before carving a squash, enjoying the play area and indulging in some typical (and less typical) Tuscan food.
