All eyes are on the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi as a new site-specific installation takes over the elegant verticality of the Renaissance space.

From October 24 to January 26, 2025, Dutch artist duo DRIFT bring a meditative composition to the inner piazza as seven large flower-like elements rise and fall, open and close in an original choreography that follows a striking soundtrack designed by U.S. composer Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, aka RZA. Titled Shy Society, Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta are known for their interactive installations that intertwine environmental themes, human nature and technology, inviting the public to reflect on the relationship between the individual and the collective.

The installation is part of the Palazzo Strozzi Future Art program, in collaboration with the Fondazione Hillary Merkus Recordati.
