The Andrea Bocelli Foundation located on the second floor of Palazzo San Firenze inaugurated the ABF Globalab on March 21, spaces that will be dedicated to the empowerment programme geared towards young people aged between 16 and 25.

The new spaces include a multipurpose corridor equipped with four large screens and four LIM screens that can be used for cultural events, public meetings, screenings, co-working and moments of feedback. Project area offices, meeting wings, a music lab equipped with drums, piano, guitars and amplifier, a digital lab and an immersive path make up the other spaces inaugurated.
The project bears in mind goal number four of the 2030 Agenda: “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” The vocational guidance project aims to “substantially increase the number of young people and adults who have the necessary skills, including technical and professional skills, for employment, for decent work and for entrepreneurial capacity”.
The philanthropic foundation opened its doors in 2021, with the application process open to talented locally-based musicians. Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were founder Andrea Bocelli, the mayor of Florence Sara Funaro, the president of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani, the deputy minister of labor and social policies Maria Teresa Bellucci, and the ABF general manager Laura Biancalani.
