Douglas Robertson

    Scottish artist Douglas Robertson is known for his artistic collaborations with many of Britain’s best poets. His collaborations with Donald S. Murray, The Guga Stone and Herring Tales, were included in the Guardian’s Best Nature Books of 2013 and 2015. He and Isobel Dixon are working on a project inspired by D.H. Lawrence’s nature poetry and his 1923 collection Birds, Beasts and Flowers, which will result in an exhibition, performance and a collection of poems with illustrations titled A Whistling of Birds. In 2020 his assemblage piece, ‘Emigrants - Wake’, won second prize at the Southampton City Art Gallery Biennial Open Exhibition, ‘In Search of a New World’. www.douglasrobertson.co.uk
