Lena S. Keslin lived in Florence during the 1970s. She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti. In 1978, she taught photography at the Fortman Studio. She has been fortunate to share her passion for Florence with her husband, Michael, who prints her work. Although she now lives in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, her heart continues to reside in Florence.
I understood the thoughts and feelings Katie Acompora described in her recent article in The Florentine, ‘Time to say goodbye.’ That was me in May 1980. I first arrived in Florence in 1973 and immediately called my parents to announce, ‘My heart is finally at home.’
