"Return Home" features the estate’s garden, fruits and flowers with early twentieth-century flair.
The Japanese wishing festival is held from 5-11pm on Saturday and Sunday, with the music of the matsuri festivals and the sounds of the taiko, as well as traditional bon-odori dances, martial arts, calligraphy, a typical market with artisanal products and flavours. The most important aspect is to write your tanzaku wish and entrust it to the bamboo decorated for the occasion. The event forms part of the Estate Fiorentina calendar.

St. James Episcopal Church (via Bernardo Rucellai 9) hosts Yale University’s Whiffenpoofs, the world’s oldest collegiate a cappella group, at 6.30pm on July 16. The group have performed in front of US Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. Free entrance, though donations are appreciated.
St Mark’s English Church (via Maggio 16) host a free entry concert at 3pm on July 18 titled ‘American Music Abroad – Gold Tour’ with a mix of jazz, folk, Broadway and Americana.
Salute the “real” start of summer with an evening at 25Hours Hotel. Two premium liqueur brands from the Pernod group, Codigo 1530 and Monkey 47, are accompanied by lots of tropical fruits, with a DJ set by Remo Giugni. From 7pm to 1am. Entry is free with a special price for cocktails.

Get your ticketsThe vast green space is the new venue for the popular culture fest that brings together top quality concerts by the likes of Roberto Vecchioni, Loreena McKenitt and a performance by Pink Floyd Legend with Orchestra della Toscana. A free shuttle bus brings you to and from the fest. Highlights include a concert at dawn by Patrizio Fariselli on July 27, with the lineup also featuring a photography exhibition titled Because The Night and other city centre based activities like the screening of 22 Giri Italian Masters at Cinema La Compagnia.
