The British-Kazakh abstract artist becomes the hotel’s first female artist in residence.

Distinctive works by the German artist come to the two spaces, curated by Sergio Risaliti, featuring elements of European expressionism and American popular culture, with names like Jawlensky, Munch, Kirchner, Henry Ford and Walt Disney playing a fundamental role in the formation of his style, with aspects also drawn from Cézanne and Matisse. Book your spotThe theatre company Teatro delle Donne performs Dante: Inferno to Paradise on the Goldoni Theatre stage at 8.30pm on March 14. The documentary made for an English-speaking audience is in anticipation of PBS’s broadcast later this month. The Steeplechase production was directed by Emmy Award-winning Ric Burns, starring Antonio Fazzini as Dante, who will be at the event along with Riccardo Bruscagli and Christine Herring. Admission is free with open seating.

Since its premiere in Edinburgh and SummerWorks in 2011, it has been translated into more than 30 different languages. Taking place at 7pm on March 13, it will be performed by Giulia Cavallini at Teatro delle Arti.
