As part of a contemporary circus series, InStabile Chapiteau hosts a multifaceted performance of dance, juggling, clowns, acrobats and music, taking audiences on a journey through the exciting art of creative circus.
Young people aged 18 to 30 can take part in the fascinating cultural project by MUS.E in which participants try their hand at an intriguing escape game with trick questions, hidden clues, challenges of skill and speed to reveal the final solution, with prizes on offer for the best team (3-8 members). Taking place from 10.30am to 4pm, entrance is every half hour (excluding 1.30pm). Free upon registration, with purchase required of museum ticket.
Celebrating movies made by women, the film fest features talks and more, exploring cinema as a cultural activity and how it involves local communities, taking place as part of the 50 Days of Cinema series. Films are in the original language with Italian subtitles.
The Mascarade Concert Series continues at 6.30pm on November 23 at The British Institute Library performing songs with Florentine links, from Rossini’s Serate Musicali and some wonderfully atmospheric Respighi to Liszt’s beautiful settings for tenor voice of the Petrarch Sonnets. This is a one-hour programme with Mascarade singers accompanied by artistic director Julia Lynch at the piano. Find out more.
Ready, set, go for the 39th edition of the international road race held in the city centre, with the 42km challenge being the second most famous Italian marathon after Rome. The route takes runners through many of Florence’s main sites, from piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio to piazza Duomo, with the built landscape providing a welcome distraction from the physical fatigue.
The festival focused on innovation and digital technologies features special guests such as Lucrezia Reichlin, Yoko Yamada, Tiberio Cosmin and more. Free entry upon registration.
