Admissions Officer (Maternity Leave)

The International School of Florence is currently seeking a maternity leave replacement for the position of Upper School Admissions Officer.  This full time position is based in the Upper School campus and will report to the Head of Admissions.

The Admissions Officer is the primary point of contact for families and students during the application process and is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition to the International School of Florence.

This position requires excellent abilities in customer care, people skills, communication and an understanding of the educational sector.


Main Responsibilities

  • Replies  to any informational phone call or email from interested parents

  • Provides prospective families with appointments and school tours

  • Accepts and filters student applications

  • Assists the Head of Admissions in planning and delivering successful admissions events such as New Family Orientation and Open Day

  • Runs the annual re-enrollment process for current families

  • Assist in supporting other operation areas


Qualifications and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2-3 years of experience in the educational field (preferably in Admissions)

  • Bilingual (English and Italian) – Compulsory

  • PC proficiency (Google Suite, Admissions softwares, Microsoft Office)

  • Customer Care

  • Confidentiality

  • Organization

  • Multi-tasking

  • Problem solving

  • Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
