Outstanding and experienced Science teacher

The International School of Florence seeks an outstanding and experienced Science teacher for maternity cover (biology specialisation preferred) for grades 6-9/DP, Biology 11. IBDP experience is strongly preferred.

Start: approx. January 8, 2024 to June 21, 2024.

Education and Experience:

•       A relevant first degree and teaching qualification
•       Minimum 3 years of full time teaching experience in an international school
•       IBDP experience is strongly preferred
•       Experience in working with learners from diverse cultural/linguistic backgrounds
•       Biology specialisation preferred

You will have an open mindset and the disposition and willingness to demonstrate drive, curiosity and ingenuity, fostering student agency as a priority.  Your disposition naturally aligns with the Learner Profile of the IB and you have the ability to demonstrate pedagogical understanding in an IB context, and a clearly articulated philosophy on getting the best out of students.
