Customer Service figure

Since 1917 The British Institute of Florence has been the reference in Florence for English courses for children, teens and adults. For staff expansion we are looking for a Customer Service figure, to be initially placed on a temporary basis, within our team at our new location in Viale Mazzini, Florence, for the various functions of customer and student management on the front desk, course and exam registrations, answering the phone,. The ideal candidate has previous work experience in reception, front desk and back office in a bilingual Italian/English environment

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in reception, customer service, back office and administrative processes.
  • Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English and Italian with a minimum demonstrable C1 level (if not a native speaker)
  • Legal right to live and work in Italy
  • Willingness to work on evening shifts and Saturdays as well
  • Excellent relationship with the public
  • Planning, organization and flexibility
  • Strong ability to work in a small team

Desired Requirements

  • Experience in marketing and communications, including social media, mailings, newsletters
  • Knowledge of the language school industry and Cambridge exams
  • Knowledge of the “SAGE” system
