Ready for some serious fun for a good cause? On Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, Dynamo Camp, in the province of Pistoia, will be the site of the Dynamo Team Challenge for sports enthusiasts of all levels and ages.
For cyclists, the bike challenge offers long and short routes through the surrounding Pistoia hills: 90 and 55 kilometers on Saturday and 75 and 35 kilometers on Sunday. The tennis challenge is an exciting two-day Davis Cup-style tournament on the clay courts of the new Dynamo Tennis Club. The family-focused adventure challenge, a treasure hunt in the 900 hectares of the Dynamo Oasi, includes tree climbing, a Tibetan bridge, archery, orienteering and mountain biking.
The fun and competition is for a good cause: Dynamo Camp is the Italian site of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, that provides free opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families to experience joy and discover confidence.
Participants in the Dynamo Team Challenge commit to both their sports challenge and to meeting a fundraising goal. Teams will vie for ranking in fundraising as well.
