Since purchasing Villa Il Palagio, in Figline Valdarno, Sting, rock star and former lead singer of The Police, has created a small rural business that produces high-quality olive oil, honey and wine.

Now Sting is making areas of his Chianti mansion, with facilities for up to 200 guests and able to sleep 50 in the villa’s six cottages, available to hire for weddings and private parties. Guests will be able to use a large swimming pool surrounded by lawns, frolic on a giant chessboard in the garden and dine in the wine cellar lined with enormous, age-old barrels.

With prices starting at 7,000 euro per cottage per week, a seven-day wedding party at the sixteenth-century estate could rack up a cool 42,000 euro.
