Florence’s thirteenth-century Duomo is the symbol of the city’s economic and cultural pre-eminence in the Renaissance. So, it makes sense that Florence’s historic centre has been a World Heritage Site since 1982. This May, UNESCO officials are coming to Tuscany to inaugurate newly awarded inscriptions on the region’s twelve Medici villas and two gardens. What better way to enjoy the spring than by joining in the celebrations up at the villas?
