Rab Hatfield


Robert (Rab) Hatfield has a PhD from Harvard and has been teaching art history to students at Syracuse University in Florence since 1971. He has published more than fifteen books and articles including Botticelli’s Uffizi “Adoration”: A Study in Pictorial Content and The Wealth of Michelangelo, a book that has changed our knowledge and understanding of the great artist. Much of Rab‘s research has drawn on original documents and his skill, instinct and patience for archival work distinguish his scholarship.
