The Italian government has now reported the possibility of Russian gas supplies to Italy being limited after extremely cold temperatures in Russia have caused the country to use much more of its own natural gas supplies than had been provided for. However, before Italian households would be forced to limit their gas consumption, “volunteers” would be asked to allow their gas use to be cut back in exchange for discounts.
