Approximately 200 athletes from around the world will participate in Italy’s internationally-acclaimed Giro d’Italia, running from May 8 to 30. In its 93rd year, the 21-stage race whizzes through Tuscany for three days, from May 14 to 16, for stages 6 through 8. In stage 6, on May 14, cyclists travel from Passo del Brattello to Marina di Carrara (172 kilometres). On May 15, stage 7, they race from Carrara to Montalcino (222 kilometres).
