Despite protest from the city’s bar and restaurant owners, the local
administration recently decided to re-enact the controversial nighttime limited
traffic zones (Ztl notturna) in Florence’s historic centre. The Ztl notturna
will be in force Thursday through Saturday, from 11pm to 3am, until September
26, allowing only residents of the city centre to drive through the area.
Scooters, however, will be allowed to circulate in the limited traffic zone.
