Tuscanys Entrepreneurs Going Strong

The number of new registrations with Chamber of Commerce increases. It appears that the tough economic situation in Italy these days has not stopped new entrepreneurs in Tuscany. According to the Chamber of Commerce, 5,933 new enrolments were made in the period between July and September, equalling a growth of 1.3 percent. Even the region’s textile industry, which has been hard hit in recent years, seems to be on the rebound. Strongest growth continues to be registered by the building trade with an increase of 3.5 percent. Unfortunately, however, sectors like agriculture have not been able to turn around their negative growth and a decrease of 0.7 percent was registered in the last quarter.
