The municipality of Campi will
be offering free Chinese lessons to teachers, civil servants and entrepreneurs.
There are some 2,500 Chinese immigrants residing in Campi, and to strengthen
relations with the foreign-born community, the local administration created a
special office for Italian-Chinese relations one year ago. The language
lessons, at the beginner level, are geared to residents and professionals who
interact daily with the Chinese-speaking community.
