Specialty soaps, fountain pens, T-shirts, fragrances, silk scarves, agendas and Vin Santo-filled chocolates with the new Maggio Musicale Fiorentino logo are just some of the things that music fans can now buy online at www.maggiofiorentino.com

 

The new MaggioStore features souvenirs, gadgets and high-quality products made by local artisans, all brandishing the minimalist-style Maggio Musicale logo. Soon, the Teatro Comunale will also have its own line of products, says Sandro Tranchina, director of the Comunale.

 

‘All major theatres in the world produce objects with their own logos. There is a part of the public that is sensitive to brands that make luxury items; these consumers won’t leave a theatre before they have purchased a souvenir, especially the Japanese,’ explains Tranchina.

 

Theatre officials are also planning to make the Maggio Musicale website even more interactive, with a digital musical and photo archive.
