One
of Italy’s most popular publishing houses
recently launched an unusual initiative: bring books directly to customers. Mursia Editore’s 13-tonne
truck embarked on a 2,000-kilometer tour of Italy’s small and medium-sized cities. Carrying
over 3,500 titles, the mobile bookstore, called MursiaPasspartù, is stopping in Crema (until
January 31), Arona, Carpi, Rovigo, Sesto Fiorentino, Peschiera del Garda,
Lovere, Cervia and along the Adriatic coast in Romagna, Cittadella, Calci in Pisa, Pompei, Latina, and Mondovì. Special stops are
set for Bergamo, Turin, Lerici and Genoa.
