The Children’s Lending Library, housed at the St. James Church in Florence offers a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books for tots to teenagers. Along with books, the collection includes videos, DVDs and audio books in English.
The library celebrates Halloween, Christmas, and Easter with a children’s party that features seasonal crafts, games and homemade baked goods.
Founded in 1973 to serve the English-speaking community, the Children’s Lending Library is a non-profit, volunteer-run association located in the St. James Church Undercroft. The library collection is available to both adults and children, and the library is open to families and anyone who wants to volunteer.
From September to June, the library is open on Sundays from 10am to 1pm and Wednesdays from 10am to noon and 4pm to 6pm.
