A new ATAF application is expected to revolutionize local bus travel. Owners of Android smartphones can download the free app that will direct them to the nearest bus stop and give them a bus line and timetables while on the go.

Once they download the app, users can simply enter any street address (or alternatively let the app detect their current location), to be directed to the nearest bus stop and see a list of lines and bus times. Users can also purchase a single ticket using the app, which will soon also be available for iPhones.

Those without smartphones can send a text to 342/4112512, indicating the code of the stop (indicated on the route markers) and the line of interest, for more information about the route. Alternatively, dialing 055/5650500, will connect riders to an automated system that gives the same information.

Download the app from http://bit.ly/JNzE9r or visit www.temporealeataf.it and www.ataf.net for more information.
