A hundred archaeological finds, including jewelry, weapons, and pottery from the ancient Aegean, Cretan and Cypriot collections in Tuscan museums will soon be accessible to armchair museum-goers.
Musint, a new interactive virtual museum created by the Department of Ancient Sciences at the University of Florence and funded by the Tuscan Region, will feature items from the impressive collections of the Museo di Archeologico di Firenze, Museo Archeologico Comunale di Montelupo Fiorentino, Museo dell’Accademia Etrusca di Cortona, Museo di San Matteo di Pisa and the Antiquarium del Dipartimento di Scienze archeologiche dell’Università di Pisa.
Starting June 1, the virtual display is accessible at www.musint.it and contains an educational section for young people, and 50 interactive 3D images.
