On March 31, a new digital publishing and networking project was presented on the first floor of Mercato Centrale Firenze. Dedicated to food and wine companies, Qualita aims to inform trade operators and the wider public about the people and firms who create unique food and wine products. The focus will be on setting up a network of small-scale producers who share values such as territoriality, typicality, quality, traceability, environmental sustainability and ethics.

The centrepoint of the project is an online magazine, qualitamagazine.com, which will feature stories about products, people and places as well as illustrated recipes and videos.

The professionals who are involved have extensive experience in food and wine: Leonardo Romanelli, wine critic, journalist and author is the artistic director.

Qualita will provide comprehensive advice and assistance with enhancing the commercial development of small producers looking to enter international markets. The future focus of Qualita will be “Mercato al Mercato,” which will consist of appointments for food and wine producers at Mercato Centrale Firenze.
