For the fourth year in a row, the F-Light Festival is back in town, reinventing the spaces, façades and piazzas of five landmarks in Florence’s historic centre.
Until December 27, the city will be filled with light shows, videomapping, light installations and projections, guided tours and educational activities, all designed by The Fake Factory and inspired by the themes of life on earth, the four elements, the history of man and art, and the time in the universe.

On December 22, as part of the ongoing initiative, Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti will speak to Florentine students in the Salone de’ Cinquecento about her experiences as the first Italian woman in space.
Promoted by the City of Florence and organized in collaboration with Associazione MUSE, this event fits in perfectly with the UNESCO’s International Year of Light program, a global initiative that highlights the importance of light and optical technologies in our daily lives, for the future and the development of society.
