A lineup of legends at Lucca Summer Festival

Teatro del Giglio spotlights international and Italian performers

Since 1998, the Lucca Summer Festival has welcomed some of the world’s top performers to the Tuscan stage. Taking place primarily at the Teatro del Giglio, the 19th edition runs from June 2 to July 23 and features a wide range of Italian and international performers.

The festival opener is English musician Graham Nash on his “This Path Tonight” tour (9pm, June 2). Nash is known for his work with The Hollies and supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in addition to his solo career. Other headline events include dual performances by living legends Van Morrison and Tom Jones (8.30pm, July 9); Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind & Fire (8.30pm, July 12); and Neil Young, accompanied by Promise of the Real, a band fronted by Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson (9pm, July 23). Others in the lineup are Esperanza Spalding, Marco Mengoni, Negramara and Anastacia.
