The American International League of Florence onlus (AILO) continues to coordinate volunteer efforts for the forthcoming International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission Dragon Boat Festival, a non-competitive sporting event scheduled for July 7, 2018.
Hundreds of teams of breast cancer survivors from all over the world will arrive in Florence the week of the event, and to give them a warm welcome AILO needs local “Ambassadors” for each group. All interested in helping are welcome at a two-hour organizational meeting set for Wednesday, April 11 at 5pm in the undercroft of St. James Church (via B. Rucellai, 9). Assigning teams and determining a schedule for communications are on the agenda at this meeting, which will be the final planning session ahead of the event. An aperitivo will also be served.
