Eight people have lost their lives after Storm Ciarán wreaked damage on Tuscany on November 2 and 3. Prato, Campi Bisenzio, Montemurlo, Quarrata, Seano and Pontedera, among other coastal towns such as Viareggio and Marina di Massa, continue their rescue efforts and begin to clean up the damage, which is estimated to cost in the range of 300 million euro.

We will be updating this list as more ways to help become clear.

Volunteering

Campi Bisenzio is now open for volunteers to help with the clean-up. If you are arriving from Florence, the entry point is via San Donnino, San Mauro, through Indicatore and into via Barberinese. Park in via Barberinese, at Hidron, via Petrarca gardens or Lidl. A bus service leaves from Capalle (ex Sporting car park, via dei Confini 162) and Motorizzazione Civile (via Santa Croce dell’Osmannoro 8).
