Musart Festival
The Musart Festival returns from June 28 to July 26, transforming the Pratolino Medici Park into an unforgettable open-air venue. The programme features well-known artists like Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Mannarino, Alfa, and Luca Carboni, alongside a special performance of Carmina Burana by the choir and orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, conducted by Lorenzo Fratini. Now in its 11th edition, the festival spans pop, rock, classical, and experimental music, attracting a varied audience to the historic setting. Guided park tours and shuttle services provided by Autolinee Toscane make the experience even more accessible.
Estate Fiesolana
Estate Fiesolana in the ancient Roman Theatre of Fiesole runs from June 8 to September 12. The multidisciplinary summer festival combines music, theatre, cinema and dance, with this year’s programme including performances by Raphael Gualazzi, The Pilgrims Gospel Choir, Cristiano De André, Fatoumata Diawara, Yellowjackets, Orchestra della Toscana, Irene Grandi and several tribute concerts dedicated to iconic Italian composers and songwriters, such as Ennio Morricone. Watching a concert surrounded by Roman ruins with an incredible view remains one of Tuscany’s most memorable cultural experiences.
Men/Go Fest Arezzo
The Men/Go Music Fest returns to Arezzo for its 22nd edition from July 14 to 18, once again transforming the historic Parco Il Prato into an exciting live music venues. An eclectic mix of acclaimed Italian and international artists opens with a special preview concert by Subsonica on July 11, followed by five days of performances including Motta and Emma Nolde (July 14), Maria Antonietta e Colombre, Ele A and Birthh (July 15), and Ditonellapiaga, Casino Royale, Mind Enterprises, and Prima Stanza a Destra (July 16). International highlights include the British post-punk band Shame and a 2manydjs DJ set on July 17, while the closing night brings together Vintage Violence, Mille, Napoli Segreta DJ Set, Myd Live, an Idles DJ Set, and indie icons I Cani, combining free-entry concerts with or ticketed events.
Lucca Summer Festival
Less than ninety minutes from Florence, the Lucca Summer Festival continues to attract global stars to the historic centre of Lucca. Running from June 24 through July 29, the festival transforms the city’s famous piazzas and centuries-old walls into open-air concert venues. Among the artists announced for 2026 are Ludovico Einaudi, John Legend, Jamiroquai, Alabama Shakes, Katy Perry, Tom Jones and David Byrne, with additional international acts scheduled throughout the summer. The festival’s unique blend of world-class performers and medieval architecture has made it one of Europe’s most respected city festivals.
Musicastrada Festival
Musicastrada Festival takes place across numerous towns and villages throughout the Pisa area from July 10 to August 2. The itinerant format brings world music, folk, jazz and contemporary artists into historic squares and rural landscapes, encouraging visitors to explore lesser-known parts of Tuscany while enjoying performances in intimate and often unexpected locations. The lineup mixes Italian indie, pop, and world music, with artists such as Venerus, Carmen Consoli, Eugenio in Via di Gioia, Selton, Sarafine, Nada, Dimartino, and Bab L’ Bluz, among others.
Mont’Alfonso Sotto le Stelle
Mont’Alfonso Sotto le Stelle 2026 returns from July 22 to August 24 in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and San Romano in Garfagnana (Lucca), bringing music, theatre and literature to some of Tuscany’s most evocative historic venues. The festival’s seventh edition features performances by Vinicio Capossela, Stefano Massini, Marco Masini, Giorgio Panariello, Federico Buffa, Paolo Ruffini, Patrizio Fariselli and Gatti Mézzi, alongside a tribute to John Williams by the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, set between the Fortezza di Mont’Alfonso and the Fortezza delle Verrucole.
Pisa Jazz Rebirth
Pisa Jazz Rebirth returns in July at Giardino Scotto in Pisa with the edition titled Milestones, celebrating Miles Davis and marking the centenary of the births of both Miles Davis and John Coltrane. The festival brings together leading international jazz artists and emerging voices in a programme that spans contemporary jazz, fusion, and cross-genre experimentation, including Paolo Fresu with Kind of Lives, a reinterpretation of Miles Davis’s legacy; the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet; guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel; and the Siena Jazz University Orchestra. The lineup also features Shai Maestro, The Bad Plus, and a closing performance by the Al Di Meola Trio.
Pistoia Blues Festival
Celebrating its 45th edition from July 2 to 10 in the historic piazza del Duomo in Pistoia, the intriguing lineup blends blues, rock and contemporary music. International artists such as Fantastic Negrito, JET, The Darkness, and Jethro Tull are scheduled to perform, alongside acclaimed Italian acts including Marco Masini and Claudio Baglioni. Combining world-class performances with the unique atmosphere of Pistoia’s medieval square, the festival continues to attract music lovers from across Italy and beyond.
Incontri in Terra di Siena
The renowned cultural festival held in the heart of Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia celebrates the rich connection between music, art, literature and the region’s extraordinary landscape from July 23 to August 1. Founded in 1988 by cellist Antonio Lysy and Benedetta Origo, the festival brings together internationally acclaimed musicians, artists and audiences for a series of chamber music concerts, literary events and cultural gatherings hosted in historic towns and stunning countryside venues.
Festival Puccini
The Puccini Festival 2026 returns to the open-air theatre of Torre del Lago celebrating the enduring legacy of Giacomo Puccini in the place that inspired many of his greatest masterpieces. Running from July until September 5, the festival presents world-class productions of iconic operas including Turandot, Tosca, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, and La fanciulla del West, alongside special gala performances featuring internationally acclaimed artists.
Naturalmente Pianoforte
The piano takes centre stage against the backdrop of medieval villages, ancient forests, castles, and Romanesque churches in Casentino, featuring performances at sunrise and sunset, art installations, walking itineraries and community events from July 11-19.
Nume Festival Cortona
The Tuscan village of Cortona fills with world-class classical musicians for a vast programme of renowned performers, rising talents, chamber music, recitals and special concerts. Taking place from June 17-27, the NUME Academy and Festival brings the sound of strings to the medieval streets, cloisters, valley and the Teatro Signorelli, under the direction of Natalie Dentini and artistic director Vlad Stanculeasa. Alongside the concert programme, the festival hosts a fully-funded artistic residency for young emerging musicians, offered entirely free of charge.
