A Florence court has found 40 players guilty for their roles in the brawls that broke out during the 2005 Calcio Storico. The sentences handed down by the court range from 10 months to one and a half years in prison. Of the 41 players tried, only one was acquitted.

court has found 40 players guilty for their roles in the brawls that broke out
during the 2005 Calcio Storico. The sentences handed down by the court range
from 10 months to one and a half years in prison. Of the 41 players tried, only
one was acquitted. Violence has plagued the historic event, most recently in
2006, when 21 people were injured in fights, and in 2007, when the event was
cancelled following a violent clash during the first game.
